CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY ANTI DRUG ACTIVITIES AROUND THE WORLD
Churches of Scientology: Battling Drug Abuse Internationally
Drugs are one of the biggest problems in the world today, affecting millions of people in every nation. Among the hardest hit by this crisis are young people. Sixty-one percent of the high school students in Europe have consumed alcohol within the last 30 days, 17 percent, marijuana and 3 percent use harder drugs. In the United States, 41 percent of all tenth graders have tried marijuana and 23 percent have used other illicit drugs.
To create a safer environment, Italian Say No to Drugs teams frequently lead city drives to clear local parks of used hypodermic syringes left by drug addicts.

In response, churches of Scientology internationally have, for many years, been actively involved in programs to help educate youth and adults on the dangers of drugs to bring an end to abuse. In the United States, the campaign is banner headed under Lead The Way to a Drug-Free USA; in Europe it is widely known Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.
In support of their international grass-roots fight against drugs, the Churches of Scientology unite concerned community groups, stage public awareness forums, anti-drug rallies and educational conferences in a worldwide effort to bring an end to drug abuse.
As drug abuse knows no international boundaries, Scientologists are active in anti-drug campaigns in many nations.
